December TBR: Ice Hockey, Billionaires, Fantasy, and Christmas Cheer!

Good evening, lovely book readers! December is right around the corner, and that means it's time to cozy up with my December TBR. I’m diving into a mix of festive reads, swoon-worthy romances, and a sprinkle of fantasy to wrap up the year. Hopefully, I’ll get through all of these in December, but if not, they’ll roll over into January and February!

1. Mile High by Liz Tomforde

First up is Mile High by Liz Tomforde. It’s an ice hockey romance (one of my faves!), and I’ve had it on my shelf since last year. I’ve heard great things, and being a fan of hockey romances, I’m excited to dive into this one. It’s the perfect book to get lost in during the colder months.

2. Once Upon a Broken Heart by Stephanie Garber

Next is Once Upon a Broken Heart by Stephanie Garber. I’m currently working through the Caraval series (do I need to finish that first, though?) but I’m so intrigued by this new adventure with Jacks, the Prince of Hearts, and Evangeline Fox. The pink cover totally drew me in, and since it’s the first book in a trilogy, I’m eager to see what magic and romance lie within. Caraval was a magical experience, so this one is high on my list.

3. Terms and Conditions by Lauren Asher

I’ll also be continuing with Lauren Asher’s Dreamland Billionaire series. Terms and Conditions focuses on Deacon’s story, and after loving Rowan’s story in The Fine Print, I’m ready for more! I also have Love Unwritten lined up, the second installment in the Love Redesigned series, which was such a beautiful romance. Plus, I can’t wait to find out what Deacon has to do to fulfill his granddad’s will!

4. Heartless by Elsie Silver

Speaking of series, I’m also jumping back into the Chestnut Springs series by Elsie Silver. Heartless is the second book in the series, and after reading Flawless last year, I’ve developed a newfound love for ranch stories. I adore the light blue cover, and I’m ready for more of that small-town charm!

5. Daydream by Hannah Grace

I’m keeping the ice hockey theme going with Daydream by Hannah Grace. After reading Icebreaker and Wildfire, I’m nervous yet excited for the final book in the trilogy. I’ve seen mixed reviews, with some DNFing it, but I’m determined to give it a try and wrap up the series.

6. The Cinnamon Bun Bookstore and Other Christmas Reads by Laurie Gilmore

For a more festive mood, I’m diving into Laurie Gilmore’s series starting with The Cinnamon Bun Bookstore. I snagged the last copy at Waterstones (lucky me!) and then I found The Pumpkin Spice Café for just five euros, so that’s on the list too. I also pre-ordered The Christmas Tree Farm and can’t wait to get cozy with these books over the holidays. Bookstore romances, pumpkin spice vibes, and Christmas trees—what’s not to love?

7. The Keepsake Quilters by Felicity Hayes McCoy

Last but not least is The Keepsake Quilters by Felicity Hayes McCoy, a heartfelt Christmas novel spanning three generations of women. It’s all about family, traditions, and rediscovering happiness, which feels perfect for the holiday season. It’s a heartwarming, Christmassy read that I’ll likely be taking with me to Belgium when I visit my grandparents for Christmas. With glowing reviews, I’m excited to dive into this one and feel all the holiday warmth!

---

That’s my ambitious TBR for December! There are quite a few books to get through, but I’m especially excited about the holiday-themed reads and catching up on series that I love. I’ll be diving deep into Lauren Asher and Elsie Silver for sure, and I can't wait to get lost in the world of cozy romances and festive cheer.

Follow along on my blog, Instagram, and TikTok to see how I get on with these books! If you have any other recommendations for December, drop them in the comments—I’m always looking for new books to add to my TBR.

Happy reading, and here’s to a magical holiday season full of books!

Love, Manon
