Hello lovely bookreaders,
It has been some time since I posted and I wanted to rectify that before March Newsletter.
So here we are, another murder mystery for February Mystery Month. We are going back to Bayview High. If you haven't read One Of Us Is Lying, I suggest you do not read this review. If you have read it and are curious about my opinion, check here the review.
Let's start with the book summary.

Come on, Bayview, you know you've missed this.
A ton of copycat gossip apps have popped up since Simon died, but in the year since the Bayview four were cleared of his shocking death, no one's been able to fill the gossip void quite like he could. The problem is no one has the facts.
Until now.
This time it's not an app, though—it's a game.
Truth or Dare.
Phoebe's the first target. If you choose not to play, it's a truth. And hers is dark.
Then comes Maeve and she should know better—always choose the dare.
But by the time Knox is about to be tagged, things have gotten dangerous. The dares have become deadly, and if Maeve learned anything from Bronwyn last year, it's that they can't count on the police for help. Or protection.
Simon's gone, but someone's determined to keep his legacy at Bayview High alive. And this time, there's a whole new set of rules.
The highly anticipated sequel to the New York Times bestselling thriller everyone is talking about, One of Us Is Lying! There's a new mystery to solve at Bayview High, and there's a whole new set of rules.
In this second instalment we follow Bronwyn's (one of the main characters in One of Us Is Lying) sister Maeve and her friends.
There is basically a new game and a new person who is deciding of the rules. That person is taking inspirations from the Simon Says app, that was featured in the first book.
In the first instalment, Simon Kelleher organised his death to make 4 students pay. Thanks to Maeve and those 4 students called the Bayview Four, they uncovered the truth. But 18 months later, someone is trying to do the same but this time in a form of a game. If you do not pick, or you pick truth then your darkest secret would be exposed.
After Maeve is targeted and another student dies, she starts to investigate who is behind it.
And to be honest it was quite obvious, but sometimes we do not see the obvious immediately.
I did like this story more than the first novel, and really got to find a way to get engrossed in it. I read this book in 2 days.
However, it was not that quite good for me and therefore I scored it a 3 stars.
I also tried the series but cannot find the resemblances, hence I did not went beyond 20% of episode 1.
I hope you enjoyed this review!
Love, Manon
