Sparkling Hope by Lilly Sophia

Good evening bookreaders, I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

It is time for pottery, tea and a new book review.

Today will review another upcoming author Lilly Sophia and her novel Sparkling Hope.

"But sometimes, the best love stories are the ones that come without warning."

WESTON SINCLAIR is the star of the Eastburgh Devils Hockey Team. He knows how to use his popularity as an ice hockey player. He loves getting all the applause when he scores a goal for the team.

But he's looking for one specific person in the crowd. His Dad. The one person who never shows up at his games or shows support, which Weston longs for terribly.

LUNA MONTGOMERY is a sunshine girl through and through. Always smiling, always seeing the best in someone and when she loves, she loves with her whole heart.

She couldn't be happier after getting her acceptance letter to Eastburgh Sport University with a spot on the swim team. Her dream finally becomes a reality.

After a horrible car accident, all that excitement gets taken away, and her biggest passion turns into her biggest fear.

Suddenly they are roommates and have to share a bathroom. Whom she promises to hate forever after he reveals her greatest fear. Weston has other plans as he tries to get closer to her. Can Luna keep her promise to hate the hockey player forever, keep her distance, and resist him?

4 stars, and one of the only books that made it so far to the four stars review.

The only thing that bugged me was the hit-and-run, like I would have loved if it was discovered and that the culprit was the father but that's life I guess.

It was a good book and I liked it. I saw some people on Goodreads and one particular comment that did not like the book as it was to misogynistic and that there are people lying about their scores (especially the 4 and 5 star reads).

Again scoring depends on someone's opinion, I've always had a knack for sports romance since the day I started reading the Deal by Elle Kennedy. I tried several ice hockey romances and for example a lot of people enjoyed Pucking Wild, I did not enjoy it as much. I do love a bit of spice but I don't want the book to be every chapter spice and I don't want to read about a triple or quadruple relationship. And that is my view but I would never say that other people are lying or wrong about it. I think it is everyone's opinion.

So here, I gave this author a 4 stars. It was a nice story. It had a storyline and a kind of plot towards the last 100 pages and that plot concluded brilliantly. The book also has a nice cover and already a sequel which is Sparkling Fear. I would recommend this book, however you must go over the spelling mistakes as that was something that was prominent in the beginning and towards the closing.

Well hopefully you enjoyed this review and my opinion on calling out people when you don't like the book. Don't impose your opinion on other people. Every has a right to their own opinion and no one should be exempted from it.

Love,

Manon
